What is a
Guardian Home?
At Beauty Mini Poodles, our dogs are family. We don’t use kennels — every dog we raise lives in a loving, home environment where they receive the attention and affection they deserve.
Because our breeding program is intentionally small, we partner with carefully chosen Guardian Homes to ensure each dog continues to thrive with one-on-one love and care.
A Guardian Home is a special partnership that allows one of our breeding dogs to live full-time with a family while still being part of our program. The dog remains the property of Beauty Mini Poodles until retirement, after which full ownership is transferred to the guardian family.
As a guardian, you’ll provide day-to-day love and care — including high-quality food, training, regular grooming, and veterinary visits. Beauty Mini Poodles covers all breeding-related costs (including routine vaccinations) and ensures your dog receives only the best care throughout their time in our program.
It’s a wonderful way to be part of our extended family and help raise happy, healthy poodles in a home full of love!

BEING A GUARDIAN
What it Looks Like
Becoming a guardian is both rewarding and meaningful. You’ll provide daily love and care, while we manage all breeding and whelping responsibilities. We strive for a mutually beneficial relationship between ourselves and our guardian homes.
For female dogs, the process typically looks like this:
- She visits us for about a week during her heat cycle for breeding.
- She returns home after a successful mating.
- Around day 52–55 of pregnancy, she comes back to us for her x-ray and whelping prep.
- She stays with us until her puppies are 8–10 weeks old, then returns to your loving home.
For male dogs, the arrangement is simpler:
- He visits our home when a female is ready for breeding.
- After successful mating (typically within a week), he returns home.
Guardians are responsible for everyday needs such as providing a safe home, feeding, grooming, training and regular veterinary care, following our guidance on diet and health.
We handle all breeding, whelping, weaning and puppy-related costs, including transportation for breeding or whelping.
We also offer:
- Basic grooming services at no charge through us
- Free boarding at our home when you travel (based on availability)
- $100 “thank you” compensation for each litter for guardian families of female dogs for patience while beloved pet is away
- Compensation for male dogs (studs) if frequent vet/breeder visits needed for breedings or collections
- Video check-ins so you can stay connected while your dog is in our care, providing you peace of mind
- Spay/neuter cost covered once your dog retires from our program.
- Lifetime breeder support
All guardian dogs are microchipped and carefully selected for excellent health, temperament, and conformation. Most guardians live within an hour (or 45km) of Schomberg, though we may make exceptions if you're willing to travel. Guardians must provide monthly updates on the status of the dog while in the program, and notify us of any health issues.
Looking for Guardians
We occasionally have available puppies or young dogs looking for the perfect guardian family. These special pups are part of our breeding program and will live as your beloved companion while representing the next generation of Beauty Mini Poodles.

Lacey
Dam, Merle Mini
Lacey is a beautiful miniature female from our recent Brandy & Chase pairing. She has a sweet, affectionate, and playful temperament. She enjoys being close to her people, loves gentle cuddles, and has a soft, trusting nature. At the same time, she is curious and playful, showing a wonderful balance of calmness and fun puppy energy.
She has a stunning merle pattern with warm undertones. Her coat already shows soft warm accents that will continue to brighten and become more pronounced as she matures, giving her a beautifully rich and dimensional look.
We see tremendous potential in her structure, intelligence, and temperament — all key qualities in our program.
As she grows and her personality continues to develop, we will update her profile to reflect her progress and emerging traits. She is expected to weigh around 15lbs once full grown.
